Accessible on foot, by bus or on a bike

- For walkers, there are several long walks, for example the GR21 or "chemin des douaniers", a path which runs from Etretat to Fécamp over the cliffs (accessible from Caulmont).

- For a bike, several different routes are marked out. You can hire mountain bikes in Etretat ,  00(33)6 14 94 81 34 or in Fécamp  00(33)2 35 28 45 09

- Horse riding is also possible,

Yport (3km)
The beach is accessible on foot, a 45 minute walk from Caulmont along a small country road. It has a pebble beach, as do all the beaches in this region. When the tide is out you can collect winkles, shrimps etc…

Fécamp (7 km)
- a large pebble beach and a long promenade
- a fishing port
- a children's playground next to the beach
- 2 swimming pools: one covered, open all summer, next to the beach  00(33)2 35 28 13 24, the other an Olympic sized pool, open all year round, on the Rouen road  00(33)2 35 28 17 88.

- pedal-car hire in the summer.
- visits to the 'Abbatiale de la Trinité', dating from the 12th century, which has a cathedral-like grandeur.  00(33)2 35 28 51 01.
- Notre Dame du Salut : a fisherman's chapel situated on Fécamp's cliffs with its paintings (ex-voto) in memory of fishermen lost at sea
- the Benedictine Palace: a museum/distillery celebrating the famous, local bénédictine liqueur. 00(33)2 35 10 26 10.
- the Terres-Neuvas fishing museum which traces the adventures of the local fishermen who used to fish for cod in glacial waters  00(33)2 35 28 31 99.
- the Museum of the Arts and of Childhood (Le Musée des Arts et de l'Enfance) contains many artistic and historical pieces. It has an arboretum outside. 00(33)2 35 28 31 99.

Etretat (7 km)
- a pebble beach and "perrey" (seafront)
- from the beach there is a short climb up to the 'Aval' cliff, reaching an easy path at the top, leading to superb views of the "needle cliff" and the beautiful creeks and inlets surrounding it. There is also a climb down the 'Amont' cliff, by a stairway which leads to the sailor's chapel and to the Nungesser and Coli museum.
- the Nungesser and Coli museum was built to pay homage to 2 French aviators who were the first to attempt to cross the North Atlantic and who disappeared in 1927. Open from 15/06 until 15/09.  00(33)2 35 27 07 47.
- an open air market on Thursday mornings.
- an old indoor market, built in 1926.
- Aygues castle, former summer residence of the Spanish royal family, built in the 19th century. There is a souvenir shop in the grounds. Open Easter until October 31st

- an aquarium with many varieties of fish in all sorts of colours. Some come from tropical waters as well as from the Channel. 00(33)2 35 27 01 23.
- a little tourist train running from Les Loges to Etretat passing through pleasant countryside.  00(33)2 35 27 05 21


Accessible from Caulmont by car only

- taking the A29 motorway, you can visit the Normandy Bridge (le Pont de Normandie) which goes over the Seine estuary and leads on to Honfleur (35 mins' drive); Deauville (50 mins); and, a bit further, to the Paix de Caen memorial and surrounding beaches.

- many other excursions are possible, too, for example the lighthouse in Antifer, the port at Le Havre etc.
